Knight Frank’s Marine and Coastal Department based in Swanwick, Southampton manage the South East, South and South West of England Coastal Portfolios for one of the largest coastal/foreshore landowners within the UK, as well as providing consultancy advice to a range of other clients.

An opportunity has arisen within the team for a Chartered Surveyor to assist this busy team with the management of the coastal estates which comprise a large number of tenants ranging from private individuals with small structures adjoining their property, to ports, harbours, marinas, utilities etc.

The role will be interesting and varied and will involve responsibilities such as rent reviews, lease renewals, new dealings, encroachments, development work, engaging with stakeholders and general estate management.

The successful candidate is likely to:

•  Have a rural or commercial background; previous coastal property experience not essential
• Be MRICS qualified
• Be able to work directly with clients and build client relationships
• Have good negotiation skills and a commercial outlook
• Be able to assist in new business generation with the support of colleagues
